04 1.8t dies after 1/2 second
So I was out tracking down a vacuum leak on my 04 a4 1.8t. I found the leak, let the car sit for 2 days while I ordered the part from ECS. I go out, install the new vacuum elbow and I attempt to start the car, it starts up and immedietly dies! Some back ground info, I'v been having issues with my keyfob working intermittently I just assumed the batteries were on their way out. So I pulled the battery to get the battery type so I could go down and pick one up. At this point the key fob hasn't worked for roughly a week or so. I go back out later and tried starting the car again and same thing, starts up and immedietly dies. Giving the car throttle doesn't seem to have any effect. Seems almost like the ignition and or fuel is being cut off. So I get out of the car and out of habit i press the lock button on the fob and the fob starts working again. I don't have any sort of safe mode on the cluster, I don't have any key symbols that light up. My scanner doesn't pick up any unusual codes, aside from a lean code I was getting from the vacuum leak. My vag software on my laptop keeps crashing so I can't hook my vag cable up to it. Any ideas guys? I'm a bit stumped. Car ran fine previously to this. I'm not sure if the key could loose any kind of programming from me removing the battery, but I assume not since the fob is still working?

Is there a key and car looking sort of symbol on the dash lit up or flashing as your trying to start it? that would be immobilizer, it will cause the engnie to **** right back off. Start up die, start up die. Do you have a spare key? usually its the chip in the key just goes bad.
