Anyone using an ipod with this neo ion interface?
http://www.mp3yourcar.com/default.asp
I'm interested in getting one, but I've had problems in the past with these adapter type interfaces. Just looking for someone with experience with it.

as far as I can tell
It's no different than the Icelink right? My pet peeve with these is, and always has been, if you can't see the ipod display on the screen of your radio there's no point in having radio controls for the ipod (i.e. song selector).

Same here - I use the iPod to control it, but they may have...
an adapter that allows you to control it through the radio unit. I think I saw it on the website, but I wasn't interested in that since you can't see the songs anyway...

i control it using the ipod... (i have a 2nd gen though)
so i couldn't control it with the radio if i wanted to... that being said i wouldn't want to unless the ipod screen could be displayed on a car screen.
i have multiple playlists on my ipod that i just play on shuffle... so the most i do with my ipod while driving is hit next.... im never looking down at it

Re: as far as I can tell
With Icelink, you can use your steering wheel buttons to control the iPod. Not sure about the other ones, but I assume they probably can too. True, there is no display on the radio, but I have a mount so I can see my iPod anyways (www.proclipusa.com)...

I'm using Blitzsafe...
so basically its through the cd changer plug in back of the radio. My reasoning is the other ones, though they allow control of the ipod, don't provide a visual of the display anywhere on the radio. For me personally, I need to see the song/artist info of the current song as I'm flipping through - that's what's nice about ipod. As long as the screen needs to be in sight (and thus, the controls) what's the point of dropping the extra cash for the controls on the radio head unit? The buttons on my radio aren't any more special than the buttons on the ipod.
Oh, and by the way, i have the ipod mounted on a little stand next to the radio that is mounted behind the radio (www.bracketron.com). This way, the Ipod is visible with no wires visible (Tucks away behind it), screen is right in front of me, as are all controls.
