Default there must be... on other models too... its a generic part..infact, its probably more

likely as youve got more ignition coils to go wrong... ?


see the pic ive put up... it shows part sharing..and i love it ..but this is of the brand spankin new A8... and youll see one thing that it shares with our lowly a4's, ignition coils.

There's at least one cyl #5 that's failed according to our running log on coil fails.

Yup I had one fail, CYL #4 to be exact

Spare pack? Some of the folks here carry spares. Good idea, but, if it goes out some distance from a dealer, how does one determine which pack to replace?

its ignition coil, could cause confusion if you call dealer and say coil pack.
