Default After 6.5 years, I've finally been a victim of the seatback coming apart

I always wondered when it was going to happen to me. It just happened a few weeks ago. At 101K miles and 6.5 years of use, that's pretty good.

Now, to find the fix and put it in place...

Default yeah, its def not ideal but i lost my patience with it. I would try the real fix once, if it breaks

again, hit it with some crazy glue. Problem is i think the lumbar mechanism gets misaligned, and unless you correct that it seems to keep happening, but the glue seems to be enough to keep her together.

Default Well, the lumbar is still fine actually

It's that plastic on the back of the seat that has come undone from the bottom. Are we talking about the same thing?

So you haven't snapped the bar at the bottom? That's where mine is. Both clips are gone and the bottom of the lumbar support has snapped.

Maybe I should lose some weight....

Lower seatback clips are an easy replacement -- check out part # 8E0-898-035
They are metal so that they don't snap off like the original plastic ones.

My only problem is that the upper clips (different type) are busted too -- haven't been able to figure out a solution to that yet.....

Default dealer price

They try and charge something retarded...like 250. I laughed at the guy and told him that I'd just deal with it and enjoy it.
