ABS Controller
Greetings, I have the ABS and ESP lights coming on and speedometer failing.
The interesting thing is that this happens after about 5 miles of driving in the morning. In other words, once things heat up, it fails. VAG-COM reports:
00283 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor; Front Left (G47)
30-00 - Open or Short to Plus
Following this thread <https://www.audiworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2784599&highlight=abs+controller> , it appeared that replacing the sensor did not help. It seems that the ABS controller is actually the failing part. I also get an occasional "Check Engine" light which reports the vehicle speed sensor is open/short.
I tried unplugging the ABS Controller to see what happens, and it acted the same way, but included the blinking "BRAKE" light on the dash.
My question is: should I send the controller in to be rebuilt (cheapabs.com), or is it actually the sensor? It seems that VAG-COM keeps telling me it is the sensor, but the thread above seems that the collective experience is that it is the ABS Controller.
Any thoughts before I ship off the controller?
