Default *Painful Thread Warning* Considering selling my car now that I have a 45 mile one way drive and the

car has 66,XXX miles on it, and gas is approaching $3 a gallon AND I just bought a new house!

I was hoping you guys could give me your thoughts on value, as it seems Blue Book is only a rough estimate. Here's what I have:

02 A4 1.8T auto w/tip. I have the Limited edition, which I think upgraded the interior trim, maybe some the leatherette too.

Ext. is light silver met. Int. is black leatherette. The car is a non-sport.

My car is truly in mint condition. The interior is literally like new, no peeling buttons/scratches on the shifter surround, etc. I am obsessed with my vehicles. Outside is the same story, no dents, scratches, swirls, etc. Dealer serviced every 5K, all records.

I have done no modding except vibrant 1304 tips, S4 grille, S4 mirror covers, and icelink. I also have S4 rims, but would sell those separately unless the buyer wanted them in which case I'd up the price some, otherwise, 16" stock wheels. The car is in Vermont.

KBB and NADA excellent cond. values lead me to the $14-15K area...thoughts? Thanks for all your help!

Default i've got almost 50 miles one way, consider fuel economy

since i'm stock, with a really light foot i can go over 30mpg, or cut loose when i need to. few things can match the kind of fun potential/fuel economy ratio as the 1.8t. since my commute is about 75% highway, the wear and tear is lower than the miles would suggest (tires can last forever unless you're also a weekend warrior).

i don't wanna tell you what to do, but the 1.8t can be a value (until repair costs are factored in of course).

Default Sounds about right to me, Im trying to move mine for $14,250ish modded

Kind of in the same situation as you, we got my wife a mini last year while she was driving to work, her office moved, the mini is sitting now and doing nothing. We decided to keep the mini and get rid of the Audi, especially because we just put an offer on a condo that only has one parking spot. Good luck with your sale!

Default Thanks, I guess at this point, the house and starting a fam is kind of a priority, I know I'll miss

the Audi, though...

Default Yeah, I average about 28 using TIP, but I can't afford big repairs that I'm sure are soon to come...

I'll keep it through the summer. Teacher+summers off+Audi=fun!

Default just outta curiosity, what are you considering in it's place?

i mean, you still have that 90 miles a day. i'm still cpo so repair costs aren't an issue yet, but eventually i'll be in your shoes. just wondering how you're planning to deal with it.
