Default What is involved with dropping both catalytic converters and replacing?

I don't have access to a lift, and need to replace all hardware (clamps, nuts, gaskets).
Cost?
Difficulty?
Time?

Why do you need both? Year and model of your car? Checked for TSB's?

it will only be about $130 per side and be done with it for now unless your cats are really bad.. i also have a 96 a4 2.8qm and just had a new flex joint put on the pass side about 2 weeks ago i can give you the place if you like.. in shawnee ks it cost me $130 for one side i had them do the other side about 3 years ago and its still good ..

Default yeah, def a better way to go!

I spent $20 on a flex joint and had midas weld one in for me for $50 (out the door). I ended up having to go back in there to reweld as the monkey didn't get the weld hot enough and it just flaked/rusted off 6 months down the road... but still, much cheaper than replacing everything!
