5-112 has to do with the lug pattern, don't know about the 40S

40S - Offset and finish

40 - Measures in millimeters
how far back or forward the
mounting surface (face)
is from the center of the wheel

S - Silver Finish.

40S means ET 40, silver finish.

Default Well these are my wheels on discount tire and ....

Figure it out offset. Now the question is what offsets can the A4 take?

Default typical range is 45 (stock) to 35.

a smaller number will push the rim out further and increase chances of rubbing on fender.

Thanks, I just found out if I lower I"m gonna have to role the fenders. Is this a DIY or no?
