Default Valeo E-codes vs. '99.5-'01 headlights... what's the difference? ..if any?

From searching I see everyone telling '97-'99 users to upgrade 'right' and get Valeo E-codes. Are these better then the standard projector lights coming on the later year B5's?

thanks

Default yes, first of all they don't have orange sidemarker.. second the glass on the lens is smooth

versus "textured"

light projects better.

My friend had his OEM one piece broken on the driver side, so I loaned him my ecode for that side. There was a huge difference between the ecode versus oem housing. Same bulbs/ballasts.

Default iirc cutoff is different too

I might have a set of halogen ecodes for sale in the near future with 4300k HIDs retro'd into them. Depends on what happens wit da S4.

$1000 for a pair and a lighting kit is not out of the question.

Default oh no, we sorted that out. Funny enough I already emailed you a quote.

His headlight wasn't broken. The ballast died. So it was easier just to take my headlight and put it in then remove all those crap screws in the ballast.
