Someone posted a little while ago about a shifter being off to the left side.. how was that fixed?

The install itself is not hard. Everything went pretty smooth until I got to the adjustment part. I thought that's going to be the easiest part. Ha! Yeah, right. Took me longer than the whole install itself and the thing is still not straight.

Other than that, make sure you don't drop any bolts in there. Get your circlip pliers ready and you should be set.

Have a telescoping magnet on hand and alot of patience. The two 10mm's in the back are a PITA. Its def worth it when your all done tho.

I drop the aluminum rectangle washer that connects the shifter linkage to the selector rod! It is described in step number 7. http://www.innovativeperformanceproducts.com/B5_Shifter_installation.htm

I dropped in during the reinstallation and I can't find it anywhere. I have complete removed my center console. I assume it is sitting on top the transmission somewhere. Advice? Part number of the new one?

just have the correct tools, circlip, magnetic retriever, wobbly adapter... and good grease.
