Default V&S short shifter install tips?

I have read through the install instructions on thier web site and the article on the tech articles, but I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or tips that isn't listed in those areas. I am most worried about dropping nuts or bolts into an area I can't get to.

Default Re: V&S short shifter install tips?

Dont worry about dropping anything in the gearbox area, its pretty easy to get to if you do... The biggest problem i ran into when installing my V & S was that i tried to install the shifter upside down at first. Putting the shifter in the correct way looks a little akward thats why i ran into this problem, other then that it is pretty self explanitory.. Oh and make sure you use the loob they gave you all around the pivot joint (top and bottom).

good luck

Default Circlip pliers?

Would you suggest straight tips or the curved tips? Should they work like standard pliers or should they be reverse pliers (when you close the hand grip the tool side gets farther apart)?

Default Still haven't gotten mine right after 4 months, lol, click, clack, bang

I've tried every adjustment possible. Took me a good 3 hours without the pliers. Get the damb pliers.
