Default Can't start - Starter Won't Engage

I have been trying to get my 2000 A4 Q Turbo 1.8 going after winter storage. Battery fully charged but turning the key won't engage the starter- all worked great last year. I understand that this could be the 1) clutch interlock switch, 2) starter relay/ solenoid, 3) bad starter motor, 4) bad ignition switch.

I am starting to troubleshoot and noticed that the dash says to press clutch pedal to start. I can't remember if this message goes away when the clutch is depressed enough to engage the interlock. Right now, this message always displays even when the clutch is depressed. If someone could tell me if the dash message goes away when the pedal is pressed it would help fast track my troubleshooting.

Any other guidance anyone has would help as well.

Cheers

Same here. A few weeks back it just wouldn't crank..replaced clutch switch then ignition...same. Oh well. Looking for an Indy tech in NOVA. Any luck with yours?
