Default I actually have the car over at Quattrohaus right now for the clutch job..

There service thus far has been very professonal. Far above what I expected and I heard great things about their work. Danny\Dion over at KMD are great. Although no personal experience, This is what I hear.

Default rear chain is normal and the tensioner/bridge is too...timing belt markings are spot-on

both the tech and the writer seem pretty confident the TB is where it's supposed to be.

Default Has the engine done anything wierd lately? Any chronic codes?

What happened before you parked the car...how long was it sitting before you returned? Is it possible the fuel in the tank is contaminated? When and where was the last fill up, and how far did you drive before parking it?

Default nada...no codes

fuel pump is fine...spark is fine, but the compression is low enough to not support combustion. I took it around the block around 8pm last night, parked it, came back an hour later and it wouldn't fire. Likelihood of bad fuel is very low. Last fillup was the day before in CT, then I drove down to Secaucus and parked it overnight before yesterday's short trip around the block.

Default I'm trying to ignore the compression issues right now...

it doesn't make sense to me why you'd drop compression like that with no warning, no symptoms, no unusual history, etc. But at this point I'm out of ideas...so it goes back to compression. Can you have them run a leak down test on each cylinder?

Default how much fuel is still in the combustion chamber? did they put fresh plugs in and try to fire it?

A flooded cylinder will have VERY low compression, as the gas lubricates teh cylinder walls.. Would explain why 1 and 4 are low..

Default Can you explain that?

I don't understand the mechanics that would lead to low compression in that situation.
