I just bought a set of ADR Spartan Rims for my 2001 2.8Q A4
Size18x8.5
Offsett 35mm
Does anyone have any suggestions for tires on that year and model car?

But for summer-only tires I've used both of these and they are both awesome, goodyear eagle f1 gs-d3 or michelin pilot sport ps2.

I have GS-D3s on my summer rims right now, and I love them, although treadwear seems kind of steep and I haven't even been to any autocross events yet. I think they will last 25-30,000 mi at the most, which about makes sense for performance tires. However, after 10kmi without rotation (yes, yes, I know...slipped my mind) before switching to the winter setup, the rain evacuation sipes on the outer edge of the front tires are just about gone.

So summer performance mostly, but they need to be pretty good in the rain. The rain is when I wreck. Paint your hood black really quick and we've got a trade!

I go through a set every 2 years. I might try Toyo T1Rs next time for better treadlife, although the GS-D3s are great in the wet.

2nd that, mine aare right around 20k miles and just about due for replacement

haven't driven them enough to comment on wear but i'd say the performance is about the same
