Default Cut springs...

...just kidding. DON'T do that, or you'll have the newest Audi See-Saw on your hands.

Lowering springs work well to lower the car, but it's going to punish your stock shocks.

Best Way: Coilovers - you can adjust the ride height
Most cost effective way - springs

You can have one or the other, but not both.

Default 100k on the shocks, i've had for maybe 3K miles

Honestly it doesn't seem to wear out the shocks that much more. I would say the shocks have maybe 30% more travel.

It's not like the car loose-spring bouncy. It's just the rebound takes longer to adjust.

Default Zero cost/easy way

Let the air out of the tires

Seriously, if you're changing springs, change the shocks too. Bilstein HD's with factory Sport springs work fine; any lower and car would prob. bottom at times.
