Steady brake warning light comes after reinstalling old rotors!?
I demodded my car from the A8 rotors back to my old A4 rotors. They had some rusty flakes in the vented areas that fell off before installing. I kept the same pads so I had no reason to disconnect the sensor wiring. The car stops fine, but the brake warning light sometimes comes on and stays on. I can turn the car off/on, it goes off and may not come back on for 10 or so miles. Any ideas? Rust related?

No. more info inside
I drove to work today(10miles) and the light didn't come on. What sucks is that I just sold my Vag tool yesterday because I plan to trade the car in this week. I may just cut the brake wear sensor wires and close the loop in the off chance that there's a bad connection. There is plenty of pad left so the pads are not near the replacement limit.
