A small introduction...
Since I'm new to B5s, and thus this forum, I figured I'd introduce myself a little bit. I'm 22 year old programmer from Duluth, MN. I recently bought a Black 2000 A4 Avant 30V (manual) with 107,000mi on it. It's very clean, rust free and looks as if the interior has never been sat in. It came loaded, including the Anniversary wheels.
I haven't taken any official pictures of it yet, but figured I'd post up some I took today during our storm.

This isn't my first Audi however. I still have 1995 Audi 90 Quattro Sport that I purchased crashed about 5 years ago. It currently needs heavy engine work, but I haven't decided what I want to do with it yet. I have a set of Brock B1s that are going on it this summer as well.

So far I'm loving the Avant. I purchased it knowing a few basic things wrong with it, many problems being very similar to my 90. Did the timing belt, water pump, accessory belt, tensioners, pulleys etc a week after buying.
Still have to replace gas level sending unit (usually doesn't read correctly under half tank), driver information display (going to try PixelFix) and rear view mirror has similar issue to what heated mirrors usually do.
Other than that, engine runs beautifully, body is in near mint shape, interior could easily be considered mint, suspension is extremely solid so far (although I know that can change quickly, coming from the 90) and I'm in love.
No real plans for the B5 other than keeping it running well. Might pick up a roof rack and do some tint, but other than that, going to keep it stock. That's what the B4 is for.

run the tank down to where the dash light comes on.....
B5 Quattros are known for a non linear gas gauge because of the tank design. when the light comes on you should show 1/8 of a tank

Well to be honest, I've run it low enough for the light a few times now...
After filling up, the gauge usually shows a 1/4 below full. The odd thing though is that sometimes when the car is first started, the gauge does [edit]not[/edit] activate at all and reads empty (also turns the autocheck gas warning on). Then after a few minutes of driving it turns on and works.

Indeed, B4 was definitely a tipping point...
So many different elements from the B4 can be found in B5s and overall the cars are pretty similar it seems (styling an exception of course).
I like my 90 in part because it's right before Audi because "cool". Everybody knows A4, nobody knows 90. I like unique, odd things. It makes it more interesting.
