Default Should I grind off the rubber bump and put a grease fitting on this upper control arm?

I'm doing the grease fittings on the other control arms, but I'm not sure about this one. Why is the rubber there? If you remove it, the top of the ball joint looks identical to the other upper one (I checked with the old one).

Default 2nd. See Kris Hansen's writeup. He actually drilled into the alu. itself.

and put a zerk(sic) fitting on it.

Default The writeup I see shows him drilling into them from the top.

If you remove the bump stop it's identical to the other top one and you can drill/tap it and put on the grease fitting. I tested it on the old one, and it works. The problem is I can't see in Kris's pictures if he did that to this control arm. Also, I'm not sure how important the rubber there is.

Default That little bump stop isn't on there very well.

I knocked mine off during the install with no issues. Just give it a whack and it'll fall off. Your mileage may vary, of course...

Default Yes, that's what I did. Granted, with the non-sport, there is not much worry of it hitting the inner

fender... I just cut it off with a utility knife..

Default Correct. I do not feel that drilling into the aluminum is a good idea...

Further, I'm not very sure that the bumpstop is 100% needed, unless you are very low, with soft-ish springs. If you are very worried, you could always hollow the bumpstop out and put it on top of the grease fitting..

Thanks for the response. Time to arrange a meeting between that CA and a grinder ;-)
