Default Replacing vac line to FPR.

I was checking my lines when I tugged on the line going to the FPR and it started to crack and the outer wrap was brittle. I want to replace this line. Where is a good place to get vac lines and is there anywhere that I can get those stock clamps or would zip ties be ok for this.

Thanks in advance.
Ed

Default DON'T USE ZIP TIES! The clamps are made by a company called Oetiker.

You can get them at www.grainger.com, listed as crimp clamps.

I too am replacing my vac hoses with silicone ones. Any NOPI shop, or other aftermarket place should carry them. I'm using a 3/8" hose, that duplicated the id of the stock hose. With the 3/8" hose, I got the two ear stainless steel crimp clamp 5/16" dia.

Also get the tool to squeeze them. A CV boot clamp too works nicely, at NAPA stores if you don't get the Oetiker tool at grainger. In a pinch you can use wire cutters too.

Default Thanks Ed: Did you get the straight crimp tool or parallel tool? (more)

Is there anywhere online that I can order the silicone vac hose?

Thanks again for your help.
Ed

Default Here is a site that has colored silicone vacuum hoses.

Not sure what size to get though. It's all in metric. That's if I can use this at all. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ed
