Replaced Rear Wheel bearing multiple times
#11
Anyhow, last night I had to drive the car for 40 minutes at 60+ mph and when I stopped for gas, I crawled under the car to feel the hubs. The drivers side was noticably warmer. When I got home, I popped the center caps off the rear wheels and took a temp reading on the hub bolts. The pass. side was 105 deg. but the drivers side was 126 deg.
Also similar symptoms with heat. The passenger side is definitely hotter then drivers, but again with several bearings now it must the hub. Used rear suspension with new bearing sounds ok.

I was also just about to post on this, but used my noggin and hit the search button. I've replaced the driver rear bearing twice now, and like the OP, used a cheap one the first time and a better one the second time. I was thinking that it had to be the hub, but knew that I hadn't hit any curbs or anything. I have the constant noise that doesn't go away on corners anymore- now I know that the heat must have warped it!
What years should I be looking at for the suspension arm? Is it the typical 96-01?
