I really want sub 5 times, what mod's do I need to do to get there? Actually, I'm mad at myself for not just getting an S4, I purchased my car in February, and am really considering trading it in for the S4 But then there's the new M3, considering this was my first l'automobile- who would have known I'd be a speed junkie, but I'm kind of attached to her, and want to make her be able to compete with new M3 instead of trading in for S4 or M3, so , how can it be done, what can I do to make her sing.
Note, I'm now obsessed with M5, I love audi, but they don't offer S6 in US, nor can it go toe to toe with M5, but hey, I'm not ready to purchase M5, or better my wallet isn't quite ready.

Eventually APR should have a Stage IV...
Complete with a rebuilt bottom end, from what I recall you'll basically buy the engine/drivetrain prebuilt from them. Sounds like a serious piece of equipment. I'm betting it's a pretty good ways down the line. It's just something I remember them mentioning back at the BBQ in February.

You know that the cars you describe range between twice and three times the price of an A4 right?
Might as well try and dig up a 512TM, would smoke anything but a Diablo to 60, or close enough...
You'll need serious green to make your 1.8 run in that league (sub 5 seconds). $118,000 Porsche Bi-turbos can do that... and that's pretty much the entry level for that kind of quickness.

You might want to try driving a 5 or even 6 second car before you decide you "need" a 4 sec. car.
A car that does 0-60 in 5.5 secs. is quite a handful and if you're not experienced is likely a lot more than you can safely handle on public roads.

Re: You know that the cars you describe range between twice and three times the price of an A4 right
the BMW M3 and M5 both run in the mid to high 4 region, the M5 a hair of a fraction faster, been clocked as low as 4.5 secs, and it cost $70,000 the M3 does it at 4.7 4.8 and fully decked out cost about $54,000. Viper does under 5, their are several cars that do it, I just don't like they're look, I like "stealth bombers", that's why I appreciate the M5 and M3(well M3) ain't to stealth. the $100,000+ cars get you into the mid to high 4's. Think 911 twin turbo gts 2 or viper hennessey, both gonna run about $150,000 for that 3.2 to 3.5 0-60 times, oh yeah, and F1 Machleran $800,000 at 3.3, the 911 turbo still beats for about $650,000 less.
