A prospective owner lookin for a professional opinion

Reaaaally... Just leatherette on these 4bangers eh? I was really hoping to get a top of the line interior, I'm not as worried about the rest of the jazz. Since I only need this car for 3-6 months i'm really just looking for something reliable and comfortable with a low cost of ownership that i can flip soon. hmmm... well i'll keep my eye out for more of these and ask him about the timing belt.
Thanks

the leatherette isn't terrible. it fools some people.
however, the V6 w/ leather & wood, instead of metal, interior trim would probably be viewed as more top-of-the-line.
in case you didn't know, the V6 has a chrome strip along the gutter line, while the 1.8's have black plastic.
if you want the luxury touches, get the V6.
That said, i've been a 1.8t owner for over 10 years and i've never regretted not getting the V6.

Ya, I'd have to drive two hours to take a look at this 1.8t, so I'm taking all advice possible. Worth goin down there? Having driven two V6s will i be dissapointed with the 1.8 interior?

BTW
If you are in the PNW several of the dealers in the Seattle/ Tacoma/ Bellevue area offered a leather upgrade for the 1.8T. It was an aftermarket upgrade for about $750 and I believe it was just the seats not the door cards.
They discontinued it in 99 when side impact airbags were introduced.
That car looks like a base model with 15 inch wheels and no sport package.
The clutch's are strong. I had 165K on mine when I sold it. Make sure the suspension doesn't creek and make the car is on synthetic oil.
