Default Pls HELP

I pulled the codes and got a cyl misfire. I started with the spark plugs (they were due), cleared the codes and tried again. With a cold engine no problems. Once it got warm the CEL starts flashing again and the engine started shaking again. I pulled the codes again and got same code. I thought it had to be the ignition coil pack so I swapped coil packs to see if I would get a swapped cyl misfire reading. I still got same code. Just in case misidentified the cyl #, I swapped the remaining 2 coil packs. Every time I got cyl "Cylinder misfire" The causes listed on the web include plugs, coil packs, wires, injectors, valves, cams and head gaskets. I'm going to assume the simple fails first but have you had this sort of thing happen before

Default when you do everything you did and get same code, it's usually the ignition amplifier

I did the same routine you did a few months ago and I had to buy an ignition amp. 2 minute install. check my pic poster for "huco_ignition" check the link out for prices.<ul><li><a href="http://www.autohausaz.com/">http://www.autohausaz.com/</a</li></ul>

Default almost certainly the POS (power output stage). $360 at the dealer...

5 minute install. Don't forget to put heat sink grease between the POS and the metal heat sink in the airbox. You'll probably have to clean it with a bit of solvent to get the old grease off first.

Any Radio Shack or computer store will have a little tube of the stuff for a couple of bucks.

Cheers,
