Has anyone tried that Module Masters place out? Are they still around and in business? If so, are they any good? Price good for the work they do? Does it hold up?

Any other non-stealership options I have for the ABS module?

BTW, I've owned the car since brand-new in 1998. I'm sick of this chronic Audi component failure ****.

Default I feel your pain but the car is ~8 years old. lots of cars have weak points, even german engineered.

At about 60K mine started to "fall apart". In the past 25K I've replaced the clutch, 3 rear wheel bearings, timing chain tensioner along w/ the AW recommended maintenance items. On the other hand I could have bought a Hyundai and still have 2 years left of warranty but what fun would that be?

Original question still stands: Module Masters or any other good bets?

Default I used Module Master ~10 months ago

Gavin did a fantastic job. He's just busy. I called him a time or two to ensure that we were on schedule. ABS and traction control have worked great since. Easy to remove and reinstall.

ABS controller was just a weak point on our vintage. I'm approaching 200,000 miles on my A4, with the original starter, steering rack, CV joints, etc (they'll all probably break soon, now). Quite a few other vehicles I've owned have lost items like these much, much sooner. Good luck.

Default I'm getting my repaired module back...

Monday. These people have a lifetime warranty and did the work the same day. Very nice to deal with and best of all it's only $180.
I'll report back on Monday for results.

http://www.bba-reman.com/about_bba.htm</a
