OK going back over to MtnA4Quattro's to help him get his 30V started once and for all!
Pretty sure this is a flooding issue as old plugs were wet when he took them out. Problem is that his battery is not holding for the additional cranking that is needed so I'm going to give him a jump, etc. to see if that can get it to turn over. His battery tests out fine and comes up to a full charge with the little charger he has. Maybe because of how freaking cold it is?
So aside from jumping it and possibly some starter fluid anything else you guys can recommend other than pulling the fuel pump fuse and cranking the **** out of it as we are going to do once again? Also going to take VAG-COM over again too to scan again just in case. Still not much warmer -4 at my house right now. Wish us luck....

Maybe unplug the injectors and do a quick compression test
chances are it's flooded to the point where it lost compression, and you'll need to pour a teaspoon of oil into each of the cylinders to get the compression back.
BTDT, too many times.

We pullled the plugs out and they are again soaked with gas. So im now 90% sure its a flood problem.

so you just squirt some motor oil in there and put the plugs back in?
and then start it up? might have to come to that as it keeps flooding out but was really close again. Possibly try that tomorrow as I've got a squirt can with some mobil 1 in it...

Update-pulled recleaned (wet)plugs, plugged em back in, removed F/P fuse, cranked and..
she really sounded like she was going to fire but still wont turn over. Cranked it for exactly 45 second foot to the floor, it gave me a couple great sputters and tward the end even though it was not running it was really sounding like it wanted to but died out at about 30secs. Then put the fuse back in and tried again for 45sec. No fire. This time it was weaker.
Pulled the plugs back out now to clean them and warm up(-4 right now). Hopefully the cylinders will dry tonight but this will be the second time its sat all night open. First try was a failure. May have to buy a cheap heat blaket to put out there to warm the engin bay.
New addition to the debogle, 2 out of the four times we cranked it tonight at about anywhere form 15 to 30 seconds into it the oil light comes on and the car beeps. Is this a sign of low compression? Could we have found a clue?
We are going to hook up the VAG-COM tomorrow and see if we find a code. But again nothing showed up two days ago when we had it plugged in.

why do you have your foot on the pedal with the fuel pump fuse disconnected?
give battery a full charge
leave fuel pump fuse in
crank car( don't touch gas pedal)
install fuse
crank car
don't touch gas pedal
have you checked you cam pos sensor? or timing belt ?
