Yea on 89N 10 miles south of lebanon, nh and whammy ... and no spare! Luckily my Mom felt sorry for me (after I told her how much rubber would be on a friday night), and drove me my winter rubber from CT (Suffield, ct is pratically Springfield, MA so its not that far, and she drives a V10Tdi Touareg... little over 1.5hrs later she was there), so after a tow to exit 16, I then swapped over to winter rubber, a little early this year (sucks!)
But that wasn't where it ended, then about 3 hours later I get amachine gun mod happening, aka my wastegate-manifold flange on the manifold decided to drop a bolt, happened to have a spare and a ratchet, but no wrench. Sooo long story short I can tighten one side snuggly, but not the other side (too small for ratchet) so I limp to my destination (potsdam, NY), About an hour from school I turn onto a road that is a 55MPH limit, but in the very beginning is 30mph, i forgot and was doing 49 mph for the 400 feet of 30mph zone left. Got pulled over and I began to rephrase the saga to the officer. He went, checked my license (no point in NY!) and then hands it all back to me stating "lets try not to go 20 over again" and gives me only that verbal waring. I get to Potsdam, park it, and begin to drink it off my mind at 3am (left Andover, MA at 5:30Pm)... Sunday I get my hands on a wrench and tighten both sides, but the gasket is toast, so while it wasn't as bad of a leak, I still had an exhaust leak the entire 5.5hr trip home, buttttt it was non-eventful this time!

And for those who are worried about the wheel... I only was able to give it a slight glancing look-over when i got it off, and it seemed fine, no bends or road rash... somehow the tire protected the beads/edges!

Default Damn.glad to hear the protective bubble of Jesus R Chriast protected you! How fast for the blow out?

My weekend.. car wise.. crappy as well. Studdering, lackluster throttle response = one of two bolts holding the steel intake piping onto the turbine housing is completely gone, and stripped.. have a quarter inch gap where the top bolt should be holding the pipe on..

Now I need to pull the turbo to tap, drill, and re thread the turbo. GOODIE! OR say **** it and have Tom just spot weld the dam thing on there :P

and 10spi = FTL - high way speed 5th gear heavy load WOT = 13psi = FTL

Sigh.

After a slight pull to the right, let off the throttle at like ~85 then blow out at like 55
