My boost gauge setup
I just got my VEI gauge from Podi.ca, I didn't want to cut anything, so I bought
2" ABS pipe cap, drilled holes on the back of it.
In order for the gauge to sit in the cap, I had to turn it down a bit.
Connected it to the fuel pump wire, ran a vacuum hose...trick is - the vacuum hose should run almost straight from the back of the gauge, then I put 4-5 layers of self-adhesive (double side) tape so that the cap just sticks to my dash. No drilling or any mods on the dash, anywhere.
Now, I am APR 1, all stock except 710N and my readings are:
-20" Hg idle (warm)
-23" Hg off throttle (in gear)
16 psi peak at WOT in 3rd/4th
Is this OK for 2001 1.8T?
