Default My A4 has been sold and is now gone

Sold to a young guy who lives out in central PA and has a 98 A4 that he hit a deer with. The engine in his has been rebuilt recently, so my car was perfect to get the transplant. He and his friend came out just before and hauled it off on their trailer. They're both Audi guys, but not forum goers. Good fellas. They said they'll keep in touch and call me when they get it running again to let me know how it is. I know he'll love the car.

I honestly thought I was going to cry at one point after I saw it on the trailer. I still might. I felt a pretty strong rush of emotion when it became clear that it was the end of an era. Picked her up new on 9/2/1999 and said goodbye on 3/21/2009. A few months shy of 1/3 of my entire life. 202,615 miles. The only car I've owned concurrently with every other car I've owned. My only German car. My only AWD car. My only forced induction car. My first manual trans. My first 4 cylinder.

A few weeks after I picked her up

August 14, 2004. One time when I had considered selling her.

September 4, 2006. At my old house in PA.

Thanks. I thought I'd be all excited and happy when it was done, but it's not feeling that exciting right now.

Default Damn I wanted her.

Wish I was out of school and working so I could have picked her up.

Maybe in the future if the now current owner decides to sell sometime.

He said it's going to be his daily driver and he plans to keep it for a while. Never know.

It was really hard when I sold my Corrado too, I had poured so much time and effort and love into that car, to watch it drive away hurt a bit.

Have you been driving the 'Vette at all?

I've been driving the Corvette a ton. Did you see my post last weekend? I got new wheels and tires last weekend. (Click the link in my sig to see). OEM competition gray. Now the car is exactly how I wanted it. Got a ride in a supercharged Z06, 610whp. WOW, way too much power for me.
