Default lower control arm bolt

currently in the process of replacing my control arms, the passenger side lower rear control arm hinge bolt is stuck, it won't clear the bottom of the car or the brake/fuel lines.

just support the engine, and loosen the bolts slowly, you can lower one side or half more than the other if needed. no big deal. jack under the engine if its not in your way, or a support bar, engine hoist all work

Not necessary to do that, just back the bolt out as far as you can, then cut it in half using a dremel with cut-off wheel. Install the new bolt in the opposite direction. Same thing for the UCA bolts...

i lowered the subframe, there still wasn't enough clearance. i had to carefully prior the fuel line brackets so that the screw slipped between them and the underside.

the driverside was easier, the brakes lines were not in the way.

now that i retightened the subframe bolts, the acceleration clunk disspeared.. HA !!

Congrates... people have actually severed their fuel lines trying to slip the bolt out.

" Install the new bolt in the opposite direction"

Wish I knew this before my installation last month...

That's hard to believe. I can see some hack damaging or perhaps even puncturing a line, but severing? Mad skilz.
