You're in the wrong place. If you don't even like the product, then why are you here? I've own BMW's before and must say that their quality is right up there with the other German makers. I now own an Audi A4 and quality is pretty much the same. Well I guess you need to make some money so for now doesn't really matter where you work. I would also apply at the local Audi dealer.

Default Not so quick answer:

When the A6s first started to exhibit the fuel gauge problems, we started replacing sending units. The A6 has 3 that all work together. After they noticed a lot of trouble (we were getting cars right from the port with these problems) they came out with a service bulliten to replace the trio of senders. The problem was the senders were the same as the ones that were failing. Next they tested all the senders that they had and packaged up all good senders in sets of three to be replaced. Still no good, they had to go back to the drawing board and had either designed a new way to do it or had a new vendor build the sending units. Once they finally had a solid sending unit we were able to actually fix cars. I have seen the same exact failure in A4s and TTs but I don't think they are the same part numbers. I think if any Audi had a sending unit of the original design or a similar design to the A6 units, it could easily have the same failure. That doesn't mean they all will fail but there still may be some out there that are prone to it.

Hope that answers your question!

Default and VW's...I mean Audi's dont??

to answer your question, YES you are a snob....it's ok not to like bmw's, but audi's models aren't exactly one of a kind...it's like that with most cars...and why do you work at a bmw place anyway? you should go work at an audi dealership...where's your sense of loyalty? and, oh yes, quattro rules!
