I could really use some advice.
I am currently dropping the tranny in m 99 a4 1.8tq .
ive got the shift linkage, tranny mounts removed and bell housing un bolted from the engine. My question here is when i take off the hydraulic line from the trans will it drain all my brake fluid? or does the clutch slave cylinder not run from the brake master cylinder?

The two (Brake and Clutch) share the same reservoir. You can clump the hose that feeds the clutch master cylinder if disconnecting: - clutch lines, clutch master cylinder etc... I remember helping a friend and we didn’t have to disconnect any lines.
If installing new slave cylinder, top of the reservoir then, quickly connect line to new slave cylinder. It shouldn’t leak much and clutch system will need bleeding.
