Default Humph. We've been having a lot of weird weather lately that involves the temperature

Sitting right around 31-38 F and the relative humidity at 80-90%. That means the instant I sit in my car the windows fog over and I can't see out them.

Then, to add insult to injury, the Climtronic system won't let me turn on the A/C compressor to dry out the air and clear the windows until the temp hits 39 F. That rarely happens unless I park in a garage or something. This makes it really hard to defog the windows quickly and keep them that way.

Anyone know of a recoding that lets me override this? I already have it coded to allow run the A/C with recirc on. Perhaps there's another for this?

I can't get the A/C to turn on because the car thinks it's too cold for it, even with recirc on.

Default making sure the inside of the glass is clean can help minimize the effect.

also NOT using recirc plus high heat vented on the windshield can work as well.

Default I will admit my inside glass is not very clean, so I should do that

The only time I use recirc is when the Climtronic system does it automatically in the summer months. I never force it on otherwise.

I haven't tried that. But why would I want cold air to remove fog? I want hot dry air to remove it.

because the air from the a/c has much less moisture. that hot air from the heater isn't dry.
