Huge problem, need help.
I'll pay via paypal whoever can answer this with accuracy, a fair sum of money.
I've got a 2001 Audi A4 Avant Quattro with a 1.8T Engine.
The Drivers Side Rear Spindle/Upright (The part the Hub/Bearing seats into) has broken (Don't ask). I need a new one.
I need to know ~what~ years share the same Spindle, and if the 2.8 version of my car shares the same spindle.
As, a 1999 a4 with a 2.8 is in the junkyard nearby, and I could in theory use that, but I hear the bearing size is different for the 2.8. I've no way of finding out.

Thanks, also I need to know if there is a difference between quattro and FWD for this part. Sorry for so many questions.
I did try calling the dealer today, they seemed vague when I asked them to cross-reference for me, since at that point they knew I didnt intend to pay them the 650 they wanted for it.

Ok, part of the issue is solved. Found someone with a 1999 Quattro 1.8 with one for sale, I know 99-02 definitely share the same knuckle.
Issue now : Mine is a wagon, his is a sedan. Do they share the same knuckle/suspension?
