Hmm. When I thought about swapping only the R32 engine into my GTI, I knew I wouldn't be the first.
So I searched and found a guy on YouTube who did. This is a FWD 3.2 GTI VR6 running the 1/4 in 13.1 on slicks. Which isn't bad... for reference my GTI runs mid 15 sec 1/4 miles (of course, the last time I ran the 1/4 was in 2003)<ul><li><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yosD9ws3BYs">YouTube vid</a></li></ul>

o rly? Are you friendly with the guy?
If so, I could use any information I could get about it. I believe the guy in the YouTube video swapped a 24V GTI to the R32 engine. Did this guy swap a 12V out?

Yep, staying FWD. I have a spare trans and would be adding a Quaife or Peloquin LSD.
Given the choice of force inducing my current 12V or swapping to the R32 engine and staying NA, I'll swap the engine.
