Default hey hey dude... nice ride digged the gt28r

damn i wish my car didn't have any problems. i have a gtrs elim setup w/all supporting mods but i don't hit full boost till 5500rpm. the giac tune i have is beta, and was made for 91oct so i'm definitely missing some timing too. your car was pulling quite nicely i must say.

i think my problem is a boost leak somewhere post-turbo but just recently got some new t-bolt clamps and 4-ply silicone couplers. so going to give that a shot and see if it fixes my issue.

where did you do your 1/4 mile runs? are there any tracks near Raleigh?

I live right around the Brier Creek area, so if you need any help logging or anything let me know. i've definitely seen your website before browsing the forums, nice s4 man looks clean.

Default had a nice 3rd gear pull on a perfectly flat road here in Raleigh

his 01.5 gt28r gti 1.8t vs my elim... he definitely pulled. makes me feel so sad dumping all this money into the car and not being able to keep up with a smaller turbo

just before i ran with him i was getting smoked by a cls550.

Default thanks man - I'm considering selling it if you know anyone interested

likewise, I'd be happy to lend you a hand if needed. How long did you say you were around here? I'm just down the road a little further as well.

The drags were all done when I lived up in CT - either at LVD (Lebanon Valley - NY) or NED (New England Dragway - NH). I only made a few passes with the Golf, and it wasn't running that great at the time. The S4, on the other hand, has made a bunch. I think I've finally retired that car from the drags though. I doubt it will go faster and no reason to stress stuff out more. But I still love getting on it just about every day
