Default Help with central locking pump

My central locking vacuum pump went bad. I opened the unit and found the graphite impeller shattered in multiple pieces.

I was looking through the ebay listing and on internet and it seems like the vacuum pumps itself look very similar.

So I was wondering whether I could buy the cheapest unit from ebay for other German cars (like MB or VW) and replace just the graphite impeller. Would that work. Does anybody know anything about the impeller sizes in these pumps? Thanks.

There is actually a tech article about this exactly.

Although, I can't say if the eBay ones will have the same impeller.

Yes. I did it to my central locking assembly. All that is needed is a small piece of vacuum hose (about an inch) to "extend" the pump tube. There is a tech article floating around somewhere here or on the WWW. The nice thing is you don't have to do any key reprogramming
