Audi A4 2000 Quattro V6 2.8 L

I am having some malfunction in the AC/Heater/Fan.

Yesterday all of a sudden the air flow just stopped. All the controls on the panel seemed to be working ok, except that no air and the fan was off. In other words, I can change the temperature or when I change the fan speed the indicator

Today all of a sudden, while I was driving to a gas station, the air turned on itself. The controls of fan speed/temperature seems to be working but has no effect on the fan speed or air flow. Its just on.

Anybody else have seen such a problem before? I don't even know where to begin looking at what the problem might be. Any pointers?

But you probably have a blower fan going bad.

Sorry if this is really a stupid question but what is a cowl drain and where you I look for it? If anybody has pictures that would help.

The problem now is that the blower/fan is always on at full speed. It won't shut off.

but look under your battery for water. What year/ engine?
