I have a 2001 a4 with oem hid's. The passenger side headlight keeps going out. But when i flick the headlights off and then back on the headlight comes back on for a little while. It seems to happen most when i slow down however it goes off at random times or when the car isnt even moving. Is this just a bulb or is there something i should check before replacing the bulb.

Try the following (play musical bulbs): take the passenger side bulb out and put it in the driver's side headlamp then put the driver's side bulb in the passenger side headlamp. If the driver's side starts acting up then replace the bulb. If the passenger side continues to act up replace the passenger side ballast. Usually shops recommend you replace bulbs as a pair.
