actually used the brakes, as downshifting slowed me to a stop. Cop pulls me over for rolling a stop sign. I didnt get a ticket, but stupid that he thought he could determine if I stopped or not based on my brake lights.

Default seems unlikely unless on hill and car stalled.

I falled my 1st driving test by not coming to a complete stop. I had an automatic and thought i had, but the instructors wanted to feel the stop. He said I was still rolling like an couple of inches per second. I made sure to stop the next day.

Default nah, wasnt steep hill or anything. was stopped behind other cars, nudged forward each time they

moved. so yeah, no brakes were required at all. Barely engaged 1st to get the car forward each time. wouldnt cal it a hill, but possibly tiny incline.

Default yeah, couldnt feel stop really (slow roll to stop as opposed to lurch from stopping)

Maybe I was still rolling an inch or two a second.. Either way seemed like a pointless stop. He said the only reason he did it was because it was 1:30 am and drunk people often roll stop signs. I was completely sober and just off work an hour before and had to get a few buddies who were trashed. So car smelled like booze but I was fine and he believed me.

I'd have said I was testing my e-brake.

Default yeah, either way the assumption was made because no brake lights, oh well. Lesson learned,

even if you dont need the brakes flash them really quick... I almost told him that it was a new clutch, and that it is kinda hard/shutters when starting up again. Which is true, Southbend OFE III with 300 miles on it thus far. Still a little too grippy. But I doubt he would have cared. He was also pretty unhappy that my insurance/owners manual was in the trunk. Glove box STILL rattles despite numerous attempts to fix, so I dont keep anything but napkins in it.

Default Whenever i hear this it reminds me of what i heard in defensive driving...

the guy leading the class was a comedian, he said
"i was pulled over for not stopping at a stop sign, when i told the cop that i had slowed down he pulled out his club, started hitting me and said 'would u like me to STOP or just slow down"
i liked that advice
