Default ^- Apparently not an IT guy... it's actually easy to upgrade, all the bugs have been worked out
over the years... Yeah, it's not as simple as an ipod, but the geek factor of having one in the car is reason enough. Tell your friend to sell his, tons of people looking for them as only ~4,000 were ever made.

I do faculty/staff IT support at UMass. The empeg is a cool device, but it's not for users.

Someone had the Alpine iDA-X300-looked good but I hate Alpine for making BT,USB as costly add ons
