Shorty 5150

My friend and i were changing the clutch on my Audi A4 quatro 1.8T, but in the process while removing the heat shield from the passenger side drive shaft, we cut a stubborn 6mm L bolt. While doing that we accidently cut a gash on the little plastic that is attached to the tranny and protected by a heat shield of its own right next to the heat shield that protects the passenger drive shaft. Does anyone know what this plastic part is called and instructions about how to get it replaced and removed. Thanks.

ps plastic is oval shape wiht two bolts on its ends about 2 inches by 1 1/2 inch.
