Totally normal. I clean out my hoses and IC every few months.

Default Not too complicated

First remove the IC. Then spray carb/choke cleaner inside. Swish it around, hose it out. Repeat. I checked it for leaks and it was airtight.

Default you remove the hoses connected to it and work it out of the bracket.

Mine is easy cause the brackets are shot and it is just held on by the endtanks/hoses. It is seriously a five minute job. If you are scared of carb/choke cleaner you could probably use a degreaser like "simple green".

If you have the belly pan attached you'll probably need to remove that too.
