Flywheel bolt torque specs?

Flywheel bolt torque specs?
Well depending on where I look (Bently, Chiltons) I'm finding the torque spec. for the 22.5mm bolts on my '00 ATW 1.8T engine dual mass flywheel to be:
1. 44ft/lbs +90deg or
2. 44ft/lbs +180deg
You wouldn't think the 90 deg difference would be huge, but I've turned them the first 90deg and it is taking some torque!
It would appear that many of the earlier 1.8Ts used the 43mm bolts, and thus would stretch more...
Hopefully someone knows!!!

A comment....
When I replaced the clutch on our 00 30v a few months back, I recall tightening the flywheel bolts with the +180 degree second stage torque spec. I'm not near my Bentley manual but that's my best recollection. It was definitely a bear getting those 180 degrees , lying on the concrete floor in our garage. I used the factory flywheel and crank locks along with new bolts.
My method for remembering(poor memory) was:
-a small mark of red touch-up on the bolt after the initial torque spec.
-then, after the initial steps are all done in a star pattern, I used a white touch up exactly 180 degrees opposite of the previous red paint marks, on the flywheel surface. Then you just line them up. When they are lined up, you know you've finished that bolt. Yes, a bit retentive but the job never gets screwed up.

The kit I installed was a Sachs(OEM) clutch kit(reused the old flyhweel over). If your talking about the flywheel, then the spec should be the same as the factory unless specified by the aftermarket distributor(ie alu flywheel or the like). We have an aluminum(fidanza) in one of our other cars and its was torqued to the factory spec with no issues.
