2000 Audi A4 Quattro Solenoid replacement?

Default 2000 Audi A4 Quattro Solenoid replacement?
I have a 2000 Audi and I was wondering if anyone knows where the solenoids are located in the car? do i have to take out the tranny to replace them?

AND OR would it be best to just switch out the whole tranny?

What sort of solenoids do you mean? Auto trans? What is the problem? What codes are you seeing that would lead you to conclude you need to replace a solenoid?
