Default interesting link, I'll make a post whenever I throw on a new diff mount

I'm always dissapointed when the new thing I throw on there doesn't really seem to do anything. Everyone always raves about snub/engine mounts. I never notice much change.

Do you feel a banging underneath the car on hard 1-2 shifts?

Default No....but when rolling in gear and I let off the gas...it lets off HARD.

Or when im rolling really slow in first and just give it a tap of gas it bucks.

Default i've been told that bang is the diff locking...

I get the same thing on my '96 fyi... might just be a characteristic of the car? I've never gone into much detective work to figure out what's going on though cuz I don't hear it all that often.

Default that's more so because there's no drivetrain slop at all though...

no? that's your tranny transferring the power directly... to normal people, the drivetrain slop isn't a big deal because it does allow a smoother transition cuz the mounts absorb some of the movement... cuz you have so many things making it stiffer, that movement is now going to transfer into the car itself and how it behaves...
