Just heard from Shop. They said they found a blown fuse.
They are supposed to test it again this afternoon after the car cools from operating temp.

just picked the car up from shop. They replaced a blown 40A fuse under the hood. What's the likely sinario here for the fuse to blow after new parts put on or is this something they overlooked? "Shop said it passed the drive cycle" two days ago so the fuse was fine.
any input appreciated.

if the 40amp fuse for the air injection pump blew, it means the air pump is bad and drawing too much current or not working at all and just siezed. do you hear the vacuum cleaner sort of noise under the hood on cold starts?

I do think that the car is noisier than normal. The first repair was to replace the Vac pump with one from a salvage yard. They said it tested ok. I should know soon enough. CEL usually comes back on in ~150miles.

not sure why they would replace the vacuum pump, its sole function is to provide extra vacuum for the power brake booster. Nothing else
