Coolent sensor issues, codes for sensor and gauge not working, changed sensor but didnt fix issue.
My temp gauge stopped working a while ago, it just reads "C" all the time, so I got a new sensor and replaced it. Afterwards, still no change as the gauge doesn't work and now I also have codes 17704 P1296 & 18062 P1659 Im assuming still from the sensor.
Is there another one that needs to be replaced or could it be possible the replacement was also faulty.
I noted once that there is another sensor that plugs into the lower radiator hose where it connects to the radiator. Should I change that sensor as well?
Thanks.

You replaced the ECT, correct?
ECT=Engine coolant sensor. The one on the lower drivers side radiator might be causing your CEL's but I dont want to say is it for sure. Is yous Auxiliary fan coming on? Heat work?
