I did it!
To my '88 GTI 16V, that is. I made a hole to a side of the air box and ran a hose from the airbox down the the front bumper grill. It made a little difference on my little engine (123 hp from factory). Actually, close to 140 hp with the header and exhaust as well. <br>I can keep up with a non-chipped 1.8T 
<br>My next project consists doing the same to my G60. I had a modified air box on the Corrado, went to the P-flow and it got quieter and slower
