Default Clutch slave or master cylinder fail?

For the past couple days I had to push the clutch pedal down further and further to get the car to start. I thought it was just a failing sensor that requires the clutch to be engaged to start the motor, but then last night I heard a "pop" and now the pedal has no resistance all the way to the back and has no return action. I can see fluid leaking from the side of the transmission, which makes me think it's the slave cylinder, so can anyone confirm this? If so, can the part replacement be done with the car on jack stands, or is it too complicated and needs to be on a lift? Do I understand correctly that it uses the brake fluid, so it'll need to be flushed and replaced after the clutch issue is repaired?

Default Slave yes, driveway repair sb OK.

You will need to replace the hose too. Might as well replace the clutch cylinder while tou are at it. These are not expensive parts. There is lots of forum help for this problem on the web and you tube. Not a fun job.

"driveway repair sb OK"?
Sorry, been away from this forum for quite a while, and not sure what you mean by "sb OK".
Thanks for the feedback. I'll take your advice and do all 3 parts while I'm in there (slave, master, & hydraulic line).

Default sb ok = should be ok.

Google has a short form cross reference or ask a texting teenager.

Ha, right. I should know that.
Where do you recommend to get the parts? I've used ECS for a few things in the past, but one was defective, and caused some seriously frustrating complications. I think Pure Motorsports is another source that was recommended to me years ago.
