Default cigarette lighter question..

i'm thinking of hardwiring my bluetooth charger into the cigarette lighter, but i was wondering if it still gets power even if the key is out of the ignition, wouldn't want a dead battery from the parasitic drain. does anyone know for sure?

thanks guys!

Yes, it will still charge with the car off.

Default Yeah, it remains powered all the time and would drain the battery dead...

How long would have to be determined by the adapter's power requirements, something I can't help you with right off. Its not terribly hard to figure out, just some simple math.

Default It will drain, but rediculously slow

Unless you dont drive your car for weeks at a time, I wouldnt worry about a cell phone charger draining your battery to the point of it being dead; and if it does, you needed a new battery in the first place.
